Influence & Inspiration: Two Icons Remembered

Featuring the work of Joe Bowler & Doug Corkern
— two distinguished illustrators whose creative visions shaped both national & regional visual culture.

Previously unreleased work by both artists, Doug Corkern’s popular book “Bluffton Sketches”, and a new biography on Joe Bowler, will be available for purchase at the gallery. Both books will feature a special commemorative gallery stamp.

Joe’s illustrations have been published in a variety of places, including
“Cosmopolitan,” “Better Homes and Garden,” & “Ladies Home Journal”

Doug’s mantra was a drawing a day … tho he often produced up to 5 sketches or more!
He self-published his low country illustrations … shining a light on what our culture is and was here in the tri-county region.
