Pam was born and raised in New England, the daughter of a dairy farmer. She grew up close to the land and was a tree hugger from the get go. A graduate of the School of the Worcester Art Museum, Pam’s corporate career revolved around the business side of creativity; from the inner workings of photographic laboratories, moving up to departmental management and on to advertising production management. In 1990 she began selling her work at art fairs along the East Coast and conducting nature and illustrated journaling workshop.
Then the private community of Spring Island asked Pam to head up their Visual Arts Program. This position perfectly utilized her art, teaching and business backgrounds. For the next 11 years, Pam continued to hone her special skills on this unique island in the heart of the lowcountry of South Carolina.
Ready for her next life adventure, Pam now concentrates full-time on painting, teaching and special event illustration.
“I celebrate the SC lowcountry with observation, field sketches and plein air painting capturing special moments in time. I love introducing the joys and techniques of illustrated journaling, and conduct workshops throughout the year, give private lessons and document live events – be it golf, weddings, special dinners …”
