Drew Gardner, inspired by his mother’s creative business and his formative experiences with various art programs, has embraced the retail art world with his unique wood creations. Growing up in Bluffton, he developed his artistic skills through sketching classes with renowned architect Doug Corkern, which shaped his artistic vision. The pandemic redirected his focus from culinary arts to woodworking, where he found joy in the natural beauty of wood grain, leading him to craft tables, charcuterie boards, and live edge shelving. After the loss of his mentor, he began carving intricate fish designs, using the wood’s natural characteristics to elevate his artistry.
