Jill McGannon completed her BFA and MFA from UGA in 1985 and 1988, and has worked full-time as an artist since then. She has won first place at seven plein air events since 2021, including First place at Blowing Rock Plein Air in 2024, and was an invited artist for Olmsted Plein Air in Atlanta from 2021-2024. She is a Signature Member of NOAPS (National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society), AWA (American Women Artists) and OPA, (Oil Painters of America) and has been in fourteen OPA and NOAPS shows since 2019. She is on the board of NOAPS as Director of Publicity. She has won five awards in the Plein Air Magazine Salon in the last four years, and was featured in International Artist Magazine in January of 2023 in their Best Landscapes contest.
