For the past 23 years, Poirier has owned and operated Drayton Glassworks, a full-time glassblowing studio and gallery in Savannah and now Beaufort. Poirier’s studio produces varied pieces in the Swedish style of glass blowing. His work has been the subject of solo exhibitions across the country and can be found in private collections all over the world.

Jonathan Poirier and Dan Clausen are apprentices of Jan-Erik Ritzman and Sven-åke Carlsson, two of the world’s greatest glass artists. This partnership has allowed for them to make incredible new works and explore the limits of the traditional Swedish style. Moreover, it will help to preserve the craft for new generations.
