Four Corners founder Charlene Gardener says The Man Show started last year as a way to get attention. It accomplished a lot more than that. This month it put within the four walls of Four Corners Gallery a range of seven Lowcountry artists who reach all the way from tradition to the very edge of the envelope.

Gullah Art and the Old Guard of “Come-Ya” Artists
On March 30, 2012 the Gullah Museum will dedicate an historic marker. Generations to come will know that the museum’s “Little Blue House” is onland that was purchased by William Simmons, great-grandfather of Gullah Museum director, Louise Miller Cohen, after the Civil War. The invitation to the dedication ceremony was designed by Amiri Farris, a bright, young artist in Beaufort.
